A man posing as a Medical Doctor has been arrested after authorities discovered he had been operating an illegal private practice and treating patients without any medical qualifications in the Eastern Cape.  Identified as “Dr.” LS Jonga, the suspect allegedly ran a fully equipped surgery, misleading the community by posing as a legitimate healthcare professional. Law enforcement, acting on a tip-off, swiftly moved in to shut down the unauthorized operation. Authorities have confirmed that Jonga held no recognized medical credentials. Free State man allegedly beats girlfriend to death after accusing her of cheating on him

A 34-year-old man has been arrested for murder after his girlfriend was beaten to death in the early hours of Sunday in Brandfort in the Free State. Sgt Palesa Thabane said police received a call at 2.45am on Sunday, summoning them to an address in Nonzamo Park in Brandfort. "On their arrival they discovered the lifeless body of a 38-year-old African woman lying on the bedroom floor. The body was covered in blood and she had sustained severe injuries to her upper arm and face,” Thabane said. A 28-year-old suspect, Lutendo Makgoka, an intern at the Department of Transport in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, appeared before the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 03 April 2025, on charges of corruption. Alleged Kidnapping Kingpin Arrested in Limpopo

A joint operation between the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Waterberg Flying Squad, Vision Security Company, and the Gauteng Provincial Organized Crime Unit led to the arrest of a 44-year-old suspect accused of kidnapping. The suspect, who escaped from Protea Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, April 3, 2025, in the Bela-Bela area under Waterberg District in Limpopo Province. The suspect was arrested following a warrant issued for his apprehension. He will appear before the Lenasia Magistrate's Court to face charges of escaping from lawful custody and kidnapping. Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, praised the team for their swift action in arresting the suspect.
