Alleged Kidnapping Kingpin Arrested in Limpopo

A joint operation between the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Waterberg Flying Squad, Vision Security Company, and the Gauteng Provincial Organized Crime Unit led to the arrest of a 44-year-old suspect accused of kidnapping.

The suspect, who escaped from Protea Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, April 3, 2025, in the Bela-Bela area under Waterberg District in Limpopo Province.

The suspect was arrested following a warrant issued for his apprehension. He will appear before the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court to face charges of escaping from lawful custody and kidnapping.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, praised the team for their swift action in arresting the suspect.
